Stripes Coffee Flower Mural

The Beginning

The Stripes Coffee Flower mural was the first mural that I ever attempted. A little bit of a wild west vibe; the endless possibility, the unexplored, and the almost lawless first crack at something of this scale. My client and I worked through the rough concepts I had produced and settled on the below.

The Application

At first, I trialed the use of a projector but quickly realised the projector was not appropriate and the room was too small for a short-throw projector, which was the kind I realised I needed ( I know right, different types of projectors is a thing!). I resolved to used a grid ratio method, which would take longer but i was more sure would work.

The Finished Product

At the time of this project, I was going through a bit of a tough rather transitional time, personally. Returning to my creative strength and managing to complete a project of this capacity reignited a flare in me that hadn’t burned so bright for a very long time. For that, this particular work will always hold a special place in my heart.
